Salvation

• Alma 5:21…No man can be saved unless his garments are washed white, purified, cleansed through the blood of Christ.
• Alma 5:13…After having a change of heart, one must (1) humble himself; (2) put his trust in God; (3) Be faithful; (4) Endure to the end and then you’ll be saved
• Alma 26: 34…Those that hate sin and have love live with God
• Alma 26: 35…God is a merciful being even unto salvation to those who will repent and believe on His name
• Alma 11:37…To be saved is to inherit the Kingdom of Heaven.
• Alma 11:37…You can’t be saved in your sins.
• Alma 11:40…Those that believe on Christ’s name shall have eternal life and salvation.
• Alma 12: 15…The Savior has all power to save every man that believeth on His name and bringeth forth fruit meet for repentance
• Mosiah 26:23-24…Believe until the end and know Him and you’ll have a place at the Lord’s right side.
• Alma 19:13…Christ shall redeem all mankind that BELIEVE ON HIS NAME.
• Alma 12:34…Those that repent and harden not their heart can enter into God’s rest.
• Alma 12:35…Those that harden their heart and do iniquity will not enter God’s rest.
• Alma 22: 6…Repent- saved. Don’t repent- cast off at the last day
• Alma 24: 16…A righteous person is confident in his salvation
• Mosiah 15: 26-27…The ones that won’t be in the 1st resurrection and won’t be save are those that (1) Died in their sins (2) Willfully have rebelled against God (3) Have known the commandments but haven’t kept them
• Mosiah 15: 26…Fear & tremble God b/c he doesn’t redeem anyone who rebels against Him and dies in their sins
• D&C 78: 7…We that want a place in the Celestial World must prepare ourselves by doing the things that the Lord has commanded us and required of us.

• Mosiah 4: 6…The man that: (1) Puts his trust in the Lord (2)  Is diligent in keeping His commandments (3)  Continues in the faith even unto the end of his life -He will receive salvation through the atonement

• Mosiah 5: 10…Those that don’t take upon them the name of Christ are found on the left hand of God

• “The Son of God [said]: “I’ll go down and pay the price. I’ll be the Redeemer and redeem men from Adam’s transgression. I’ll take upon me the sins of the world and redeem or save every soul from his own sins who will repent.” 12  Let us illustrate: A man walking along the road happens to fall into a pit so deep and dark that he cannot climb to the surface and regain his freedom. How can he save himself from his predicament? Not by any exertions on his own part, for there is no means of escape in the pit. He calls for help, and some kindly disposed soul, hearing his cries for relief, hastens to his assistance and by lowering a ladder, gives to him the means by which he may climb again to the surface of the earth. This was precisely the condition that Adam placed himself and his posterity in, when he partook of the forbidden fruit. All being together in the pit, none could gain the surface and relieve the others. The pit was banishment from the presence of the Lord and temporal death, the dissolution of the body. And all being subject to death, none could provide the means of escape. 13  The Savior comes along, not subject to that pit, and lowers the ladder. We talked about some doctrine and he told me not to waste my time thinking of things that have nothing to do with my salvation. • D&C 128:15…And now, my dearly beloved brethren and sisters, let me assure you that these are principles in relation to the dead and the living that cannot be lightly passed over, as pertaining to our salvation. For their salvation is necessary and essential to our salvation, as Paul says concerning the fathers—that they without us cannot be made perfect—neither can we without our dead be made perfect.
• “At another M.A.S.H., Russell met a young Latter-Day Saint soldier who had been paralyzed by a gunshot wound. He wondered how to comfort the young man and ended up being the one comforted when the soldier said, “Don’t worry about me, Brother Nelson, for I know why I was sent to earth- to gain experiences and workout my salvation. • D&C 135:3…Joseph Smith, the prophet and Seer of the Lord, has done more, save Jesus only, for the salvation of men in this world, than any other man that ever lived in it. In the short space of twenty years, he has brought forth the Book of Mormon, which he translated by the gift and power of God, and has been the means of publishing it on two continents; has sent the fulness of the everlasting gospel, which it contained, to the four quarters of the earth; has brought forth the revelations and commandments which compose this book of Doctrine and Covenants, and many otherwise documents and instructions for the benefit of the children of men; gathered many thousands of the Latter-day Saints, founded a great city, and left a fame and name that cannot be slain. He lived great, and he died great in the eyes of God and his people, and like most of the Lord; anointed in ancient times, has sealed his mission and his works with his own blood; and so has his brother Hyrum. In life, they were not divided, and in death, they were not separated!
