  • 1913- Orpha Mable Soffee was born in Union, UT
  • 1914- Scott Ross Brown was born in Monroe, UT
  • 1918- LeRoy Nielson was born in Cedar View, UT
  • 1920- Elizabeth Lazenby was born in Aurora, UT
  • 1927- Scott’s dad remarried after his mother died
  • 1929- Scott left home because he did not get along with his new mother and lived with older brother
  • 1933- Orpha goes to college
  • 1934- Scott goes to college at Utah State
  • 1936- LeRoy graduates from high school

– Elizabeth moves to Manti

  • 1937- Orpha graduates with a BA in Music and Home Economics
  • 1938- Elizabeth graduates from high school, works in Salt Lake City

– Scott graduates with a BA in forestry, was a four year letterman in basketball, football, wrestling and track, obtains teaching certificate in science and math

– Scott and Orpha meet at a young adult dance

  • 1939- LeRoy obtains medium weight boxing state title inWashington

– Orpha and Scott are married in the SLC temple

  • 1940- Scott Kent Brown born to Orpha and Scott
  • 1941- Elizabeth meets LeRoy at a Coconut Grove dance

– LeRoy is drafted and goes to basic training in California

– World War II begins

  • 1942- Brown family moves to Washington where Scott works on bombs and Ann is born

– Elizabeth and LeRoy elope to Wyoming

– LeRoy is sent to Hawaii and Guam for military duty

  • 1945- LeRoy comes home on leave and war ends

– LeRoy and Elizabeth move to Burley, Idaho where he helps farm beets and potatoes

– The Nielsen’s move to Salt Lake City where LeRoy works installing pumps

– Ross Clyde Brown is born

  • 1946- Edith Nielson is born
  • 1948- Craig Brown is born
  • 1949- Elva Nielson and Ronalynn Brown are born
  • 1950- LeRoy joins National Guard

– Nielsen’s move to Fort Lewis, WA

  • 1951- Clifford Nielson is born, LeRoy is released from the National Guard, family moves back to SLC where LeRoy works for Water Conservancy
  • 1953- Becky Brown is born
  • 1954- Maxine Nielson is born
  • 1955- Scott becomes an Eagle Scout
  • 1956- Scott has a hernia operation
  • 1958- Scott starts to have heart-problems

– Ross and Edith meet at church , Ron’- receives Eagle

  • 1959- Shirley Nielson is born
  • 1960- Orpha starts to teach school
  • 1961- ROSE has appendix removed
  • 1962- Edith.breaks leg by jumping on trampoline

– Brown family moves from Midvale to Sandy

  • 1963- Ross graduates from high school

– Scott Brown dies from a heart attack

  • 1964- Edith graduates from high school and attends Dixie College

– Edith has a kidney stone but it passes through

  • 1965- Ross goes on a mission to Denmark
  • 1967- Edith attends BYU

– Ross returns from mission

– LeRoy receives theSilver Beaver award in scouting

  • 1968- Ross and Edith are married in the SLC temple
  • 1969- Ross joins the army

– Mishaun Leigh Brown is born

– Ross Brown family moves to Indiana then Virginia,

– Edith works

  • 1970- Jenna Sue Brown is born
  • 1971- Ross Brown family moves to Cedar City while Ross attends South Utah State
  • 1972- LeRoy Scott Brown is born
  • 1973- Ross graduates, family moves to Sandy where he teaches shop at a junior high
  • 1974- Clint Ross Brown is born

– Ross Brown family moves to Orem while Ross attends BYU

  • 1975- Ross graduates with a Masters- in Education, family moves to Midvale where Ross builds a house next door to Orpha, he teaches shop and building construction at a high school, have a farm
  • 1976- Meredith Jane Brown is born, Edith has kidney stone operation
  • 1977- Ross Brown family moves to Florida where he is a USAF Chaplain
  • 1978- Trenton Joseph Brown is born

– Ross Brown family move to West Jordan, UT where Ross is a math teacher/ Edith has kidney stone operation

  • 1979- Ross Brown family moves to Richfield, UT where Ross is a counselor for Sevier Valley Tech
  • 1980- Elizabeth Marie Brown is born

– Ross enters USAF as Chaplain, family moves to Travis AFB, CA

– Orpha serves in the Washington DC mission

  • 1981- Orpha has surgery for breast cancer
  • 1984- Orpha dies in SLC

– Ross goes to Korea for a year without the family while they remain in California

  • 1985- Mishaun receives Patriarchal Blessing

– Ross Brown family moves to Offutt AFB, Nebraska

  • 1986- Jenna has surgery
  • 1987- Ross promoted to Major

– Mishaun graduates from Bellevue West and attends BYU

  • 1988- Jenna graduates from high school and attends BYU with Mishaun
  • 1989- Mishaun has surgery on right wrist to remove ganglion cyst
  • 1989 -Ross Brown Family moved to Pleasanton, California

– Ross was Installation Staff Chaplain at Onizuka AFB

– Edith called as Relief Society President of Pleasanton 2nd Ward

  • 1990 -LeRoy Scott graduates from Amador Valley High School

– LeRoy Scott receives baseball scholarship and attends Ricks Jr. College

  • 1991 -LeRoy Scott receives Mission Call to Japan Nagoya Mission

– Ross Brown family moves to RAF Upper Heyford, England

– Ross is Senior Protestant Chaplain

– Edith works full time as secretary at Croughton Elementary School

– Jenna receives mission call to London England South Mission

  • 1992 -Mishaun graduates from B YU in Elementary Education

  • 1993 -Clinton is student body president at Croughton High School, England

– Clinton graduates from Croughton High School

– Clinton Attends Ricks Jr. College on baseball scholarship

– Jenna returns from mission & marries Randy LaRose in Salt Lake Temple

– LeRoy returns from mission and plays baseball for Ricks Jr. College

– Ross is Deputy Senior Chaplain at Eglin AFB

  • 1994 -R.J. Barnes graduates from BYU in accounting

– R. J. is hired by Utah State Tax Commission

– Meredith graduates from Niceville High School and attends Ricks College

– Clint receives mission call to Ecuador Quito Mission
