- 1 Nephi 8: 27-28…Some members taste the fruit (baptism), are made fun of or mocked, feel ashamed and then fall away
- Alma 31:8-11…Members that fall into great errors (1) stop observing to keep the commandments of God and his statutes; (2) Stop observing the performances of the church – (daily prayer and supplication to God); (3) Do pervert the ways of the Lord; Need to have the word preached to them.
- Alma 27: 4…Investigators and new converts treat their missionaries, or the members that introduced them the gospel, as though they were angels sent from God to save them from everlasting destruction
- Alma 26: 5-7…If you thrust in your sickle, reap with your might, all the day long, then your sheaves will be gathered into garners, and not wasted or driven but saved at the last day
