• 1 Nephi 19:23-24…We should liken the words of the prophets and the scriptures unto us (our lives today)
• Alma 12:28-30…In the beginning, God communicated to man about the plan of redemption through angels and prayer.
• Amos 3: 7…Jehovah does nothing unless he reveals secrets to P.
• D&C 1: 8…Lord’s word, same as servants
• Numbers 12: 6…Lord will make Prophets known in vision
• Matt. 16: 18-19…Peter given keys to be Prophet
• Ether 11: 13…Too much wickedness & Prophets leave
• 1 Nephi 22: 2…Spirit to prophets to us
• Mormon 9: 7-10…God is the same as in times of old
• 2 Nephi 2: 30…Parents use prophet’s words to counsel sons
• Ezeq. 13: 3…Wo unto the false prophets
• Jacob 4: 6…Study the words of propagates & then (1) You’ll have many revelations (2) You’ll have the Spirit of Prophecy (3) You’ll achieve hope (4) You’ll have unbreakable faith (5) You could command trees, mounts, & waves to move in Christ’s name
• Mosiah 2: 3…Prophets words should be written and given to those who couldn’t hear them
• Mosiah 2: 10-11…Prophets are like us – subject to all manner of infirmities in body and mind
• Mosiah 15: 11-12…Christ died for those who listen to the prophets & look forward to His coming
• Mosiah 13: 33…All Prophets have spoken of Christ’s coming and that God should redeem His people
• Mosiah 8: 16-17…A seer is a prophet & revelator and can:  (1) Know of things which are past (2) Know of things which  are to come (3) Have all things (secret things) revealed through him
• Mosiah 3:13…  And the Lord God hath sent his holy prophets among all the children of men, to declare these things to every kindred, nation, and tongue, that thereby whosoever should believe that Christ should come, the same might receive remission of their sins, and rejoice with exceedingly great joy, even as though he had already come among them.
• March 17, 2013 Temple Dedication, Tegucigalpa, Honduras: “At the end of President Dieter F. Uchtdorf’s sermon during the temple dedication, he bore his testimony.  In his words, “I know Jesus lives. He lives. I know this. He is the Head of this Church. I know we have a Prophet of God.”  Clinton Brown
• “The President of the Church delegates priesthood keys to other priesthood leaders so they can preside in their areas of responsibility. Priesthood keys are bestowed on presidents of temples, missions, stakes, and districts; bishops; branch presidents; and quorum presidents. This presiding authority is valid only for the designated responsibilities and within the geographic jurisdiction of each leader’s calling. • Ephesians 4:11 -13…11  And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; 12  For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: 13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:
• Mosiah 8:16 -18…16  And Ammon said that a seer is a revelator and a prophet also; and a gift which is greater can no man have, except he should possess the power of God, which no man can; yet a man may have great power given him from God.  17 But a seer can know of things which are past, and also of things which are to come, and by them shall all things be revealed, or, rather, shall secret things be made manifest, and hidden things shall come to light, and things which are not known shall be made known by them, and also things shall be made known by them which otherwise could not be known.  18 Thus God has provided a means that man, through faith, might work mighty miracles; therefore he becometh a great benefit to his fellow beings.
• Mosiah 2:8…  And it came to pass that he began to speak to his people from the tower; and they could not all hear his words because of the greatness of the multitude; therefore he caused that the words which he spake should be written and sent forth among those that were not under the sound of his voice, that they might also receive his words.
• Jarom 1: 11 -12…11  Wherefore, the prophets, and the priests, and the teachers, did labor diligently, exhorting with all long-suffering the people to diligence; teaching the law of Moses, and the intent for which it was given; persuading them to look forward unto the Messiah, and believe in him to come as though he already was. And after this manner did they teach them. 12  And it came to pass that by so doing they kept them from being destroyed upon the face of the land; for they did prick their hearts with the word, continually stirring them up unto repentance.
• Jacob 6: 13...  Finally, I bid you farewell, until I shall meet you before the pleasing bar of God, which bar striketh the wicked with awful dread and fear. Amen.
•  Mosiah 3: 13… Prophets were sent to earth to declare to every kindred, nation, and tongue that those that Believe Christ will come, they will receive a remission of their sins, with great joy, as if he had already come.   Before Christ, prophets helped people believe in the future atonement of Christ, because it hadn’t happened yet.
•  Jacob 6: 8-11….8  Behold, will ye reject these words? Will ye reject the words of the prophets; and will ye reject all the words which have been spoken concerning Christ, after so many have spoken concerning him; and deny the good word of Christ, and the power of God, and the gift of the Holy Ghost, and quench the Holy Spirit, and make a mock of the great plan of redemption, which hath been laid for you? 9  Know ye not that if ye will do these things, that the power of the redemption and the resurrection, which is in Christ, will bring you to stand with shame and awful guilt before the bar of God? 10 And according to the power of justice, for justice cannot be denied, ye must go away into that lake of fire and brimstone, whose flames are unquenchable, and whose smoke ascendeth up forever and ever, which lake of fire and brimstone is endless torment.  11 O then, my beloved brethren, repent ye, and enter in at the strait gate, and continue in the way which is narrow, until ye shall obtain eternal life.
• Jacob 4:2 -4…2  But whatsoever things we write upon anything save it be upon plates must perish and vanish away; but we can write a few words upon plates, which will give our children, and also our beloved brethren, a small degree of knowledge concerning us, or concerning their fathers— 3  Now in this thing we do rejoice; and we labor diligently to engraven these words upon plates, hoping that our beloved brethren and our children will receive them with thankful hearts, and look upon them that they may learn with joy and not with sorrow, neither with contempt, concerning their first parents. 4  For, for this intent have we written these things, that they may know that we knew of Christ, and we had a hope of his glory many hundred years before his coming; and not only we ourselves had a hope of his glory, but also all the holy prophets which were before us.
• Jacob 2:27 -28…27  Wherefore, my brethren, hear me, and hearken to the word of the Lord: For there shall not any man among you have save it be one wife; and concubines he shall have none; 28  For I, the Lord God, delight in the chastity of women. And whoredoms are an abomination before me; thus saith the Lord of Hosts.
• “January 14th, 1995 – Quito Ecuador- Jeffrey R. Holland Meeting – Saturday  Elder Holland called President Hunter to tell him what he was going to do here in Quito.  President Hunter told him to tell the missionaries that he loved them so much.   I realized how much love the Savior has for me.  I also realized that we have Angels all around us helping us and protecting us.  They might even be our deceased loved ones.” – Clinton Brown Missionary Journal
• January 14th, 1995 – Saturday.  Quito Ecuador – Jeffrey R. Holland Conference…”After, we all went to the chapel and we waited for Jeffrey R. Holland.  He came in and it was a great feeling to be in his presence.  During his talk his personality really showed.  He has a great sense of humor.  One time he went and kissed the translator on the cheek because he could not translate because the spirit was so strong.  I had the opportunity to shake his hand which I’ll never forget.  I also realized that the 12 Apostles love us.  Elder Holland called President Hunter to tell him what he was going to do here in Quito.  President Hunter told him to tell the missionaries that he loved them so much.   I realized how much love the Savior has for me.  I also realized that we have Angels all around us helping us and protecting us.  They might even be our deceased loved ones.” – Clinton Brown Missionary Journal
• Jacob 2: 3… And ye yourselves know that I have hitherto been diligent in the office of my calling; but I this day am weighed down with much more desire and anxiety for the welfare of your souls than I have hitherto been.
• Jacob 2:11… Wherefore, I must tell you the truth according to the plainness of the word of God. For behold, as I inquired of the Lord, thus came the word unto me, saying: Jacob, get thou up into the temple on the morrow, and declare the word which I shall give thee unto this people.
• Jacob 4: 6… Wherefore, we search the prophets, and we have many revelations and the spirit of prophecy; and having all these witnesses we obtain a hope, and our faith becometh unshaken, insomuch that we truly can command in the name of Jesus and the very trees obey us, or the mountains, or the waves of the sea.
• Jacob 2:2…  Now, my beloved brethren, I, Jacob, according to the responsibility which I am under to God, to magnify mine office with soberness, and that I might rid my garments of your sins, I come up into the temple this day that I might declare unto you the word of God.
• Words of Mormon 1: 17-18… For behold, king Benjamin was a holy man, and he did reign over his people in righteousness; and there were many holy men in the land, and they did speak the word of God with power and with authority; and they did use much sharpness because of the stiffneckedness of the people– 18 Wherefore, with the help of these, king Benjamin, by laboring with all the might of his body and the faculty of his whole soul, and also the prophets, did once more establish peace in the land.

• Matthew 26:56…But all this was done, that the scriptures of the prophets might be fulfilled. Then all the disciples forsook him, and fled.
• 2 Nephi 11:3… And my brother, Jacob, also has seen him as I have seen him; wherefore, I will send their words forth unto my children to prove unto them that my words are true. Wherefore, by the words of three, God hath said, I will establish my word. Nevertheless, God sendeth more witnesses, and he proveth all his words
