Resurrection

• Ether 3: 16…Our bodies look the same as our Spirits before we came to earth.
• Alma 11:43-44…The resurrection will happen to everyone – bond and free, old and young, male and female, wicked and righteous.
• Alma 11:43-44…At resurrection, the spirit and body are reunited in its perfect form.
• Alma 11:45…Our bodies after the resurrection are immortal, will never die, and the spirit and body will never separate again.
• Alma 11: 41, 43, 44…All shall rise from the dead and be judged according to their works.  Resurrection is before judgment.
• Alma 11:42…Christ’s death shall loose the bands of temporal death.
• Alma 16: 20…Prophets of America told the people that Christ would appear to them after His resurrection
• Mosiah 18: 8-9…To be redeemed of God, be part of the 1st Resurrection, and gain eternal life we must (1) Bear one another’s burdens so they’re light (2) Mourn with those that mourn (3) Comfort those that stand in need of comfort (4) Stand as a witness of God at all times, in all things, in all places

• Alma 11:45…Just as Jesus was resurrected, our spirits will be reunited with our bodies, “that they can die no more… never to be divided”.
• Alma 11:44…This condition is called immortality. All people who have ever lived will be resurrected, “both old and young, both bond and free, both male and female, both the wicked and the righteous”.
• Matthew 28:6…On the third day after His Crucifixion, Christ took up His body again and became the first person to be resurrected. When His friends went to seek Him, the angels who guarded His tomb told them, “He is not here: for he is risen, as he said” His spirit had reentered His body, never to be separated again.
• Articles of Faith 1:3…The Savior’s Atonement makes it possible for us to overcome spiritual death. Although all people will be resurrected, only those who accept the Atonement will be saved from spiritual death.

• “The risen Lord spoke to Mary, and she replied. He was not an apparition. This was not imagination. He was real, as real as He had been in mortal life. He did not permit her to touch Him. He had not yet ascended to His Father in Heaven. That would happen shortly. What a reunion it must have been, to be embraced by the Father, who loved Him and who also must have wept for Him during His hours of agony. He would appear to two men on the road to Emmaus.
